Pilgrims’ Refectory Opens

1373042638_imageWe are delighted to share the following news from the Anglican Catholic Church Diocese of the UK about the development and growth of their excellent Church supplies business. The Brighton Oratory of the ORCC LR is a customer of the shop having found it efficient and reliable for providing the necessary sacristy supplies for the Traditional liturgy.

Moving to new and larger premises in the centre of the historic Cathedral city of Canterbury, the business has added a “Pilgrim’s Refectory” to provide refreshment to the city’s many visitors. The larger premises have afforded an increase in capacity to display the shop’s ecclesiastical wares and we highly recommend visiting their website www.canterburychurchshop.co.uk for online ordering and encourage anybody visiting Canterbury to “pop in” for a coffee and a browse!

“On Tuesday 9th July 2013 the door will open for the first time on the Canterbury Church Shop’s Pilgrims’ Refectory in the historic Conquest House, 17 Palace Street, Canterbury.

1373041950_imageMr Cerith Parvin has been appointed as the Refectory Supervisor while the Shop itself is in the able hands of Mrs Beatrice Engramer.

Roy Hipkiss, one of the Directors, welcomed Cerith, this week, who was put to work straight away familiarising himself with the coffee machine.
The opening will be a low key affair, the Norman Undercroft and Garden are still being prepared. The grand formal opening will follow when Bishop Damien Mead is fully recovered from his recent accident.”
